Parent & Child Therapy

Parenting can be incredibly rewarding, but also incredibly challenging

Is your child struggling with behavioral issues, emotional challenges, or difficulty adjusting to life changes? Are you feeling overwhelmed and unsure how to best support them? Our parent-child therapy service provides a supportive and collaborative approach to address these challenges and strengthen the bond between you and your child.

We understand that parenting can be incredibly rewarding, but also incredibly challenging. Our therapists specialize in working with children and adolescents, as well as their parents, to identify and address underlying issues that may be contributing to difficulties at home, at school, or in social settings. We work with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, defiance, aggression, trauma, and adjustment difficulties related to divorce, grief, or other life transitions.

Our therapeutic approach is tailored to the specific needs of each child and family. We often utilize play therapy techniques for younger children, as play is a natural way for them to express their emotions and process experiences. For older children and adolescents, we may incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills, and family systems approaches.

A key component of parent-child therapy is parent involvement and education. We work with parents to develop effective parenting strategies, improve communication skills, and understand their child's emotional needs. We help parents learn how to set healthy boundaries, provide consistent support, and foster a positive and nurturing environment.

Our goal is to empower both parents and children to build stronger, healthier relationships and develop effective coping mechanisms for managing challenges. By working together, we can help your child thrive and create a more harmonious and fulfilling family life. We offer both in-person and telehealth sessions.
