What is the Good Faith Estimate?

A new law was passed that requires all healthcare providers to provide a Good Faith Estimate.  Here is what that means for you:

  • You will receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of your services if you choose to private pay for services. This is just an estimate and will be updated if there are any changes.

  • You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate at anytime. We will provide you with one before your first session. You can also request one before scheduling.

  • The Good Faith Estimate gives you the right to dispute a bill that is at least $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate.

  • You can save or take a picture of your Good Faith estimate for your reference. For any questions about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, you can visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call our office at 502-286-5736

Payment is expected at time of service. Please contact your insurance company prior to your appointment if you are uncertain whether mental health services are covered.
